Should the international community give up its fight to curb Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions? Is it really worth starting a war with the Islamic republic? And if the option of a war is put aside, is there anything that could be done to limit Iran's rising power in the region? Or will the West finally put up with its influence? And what is a bigger threat to stability in the Middle East: the Ahmadinejad regime or the Netanyahu regime? CrossTalking with Mark Fitzpatrick, Salam Al-Marayati and Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich. 'If Israel bombs Iran, Arab states will support Tehran'
Tension around Iran has spiralled. Tehran is carefully avoiding being provoked so as not to vie the US and Israel an excuse for military action. Though activists believe the extra sanctions and economic blockade of Tehran is already an 'act of war'. RT has talked to Brian Becker, the national coordinator of the ANSWER anti-war coalition on the reasons behind the instability in the region. RT on Twitter twitter.com RT on Facebook www.facebook.com

Tahrir Today, Tehran Tomorrow: Next revolution planned in Iran?
The events in Egypt are reverberating throughout the Middle East. On Monday, anti-government demonstrators clashed with police in Tehran. Police fired tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, who were throwing stones at the officers. It's the first such clash in the country for over a year. The day before the protest, the US State Department began sending Twitter messages to Iranians in their native tongue. Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi, from the University of Tehran, says Washington is losing ground in the region... RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com RT on Twitter: twitter.com

The Big Payback? 'Iran nuke tech was OK before 1979'
Tehran has reiterated its readiness to resume nuclear talks with major powers to discuss the country's controversial nuclear program. That's while Israel has stepped up its stance against Iran - with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying Tehran's aggression must be stopped. He repeated his claims that Iran was behind recent bombings allegedly targeting Israelis in India, Georgia and Thailand. Israel says there are links between the incidents - despite authorities in India and Thailand saying there's no such evidence, and Iran denying any involvement. Tehran in turn says Israel is waging a psychological war that many fear might pave the way for military action. Political analyst Chris Bambery explains why he thinks Israel is acting as it is. 18th International Press Fair in Iran-Iran Today-11-04-2011
www.presstv.com Tehran hosted the 18th International Press Fair from October 28 to the first of November. Over six-hundred press agencies took part in the exhibition. One hundred of them came from 50 foreign countries; that's four times the figure that participated in the 2007 International Press Exhibition in Tehran. The highlights of this fair were the dozens of booths taken by news websites that are relatively new in the 150 years old press industry. In this edition of the show, we'll take a look at the history of news outlets in Iran and how they are stepping up efforts to make use of technology. And the setbacks these mighty mind controllers are encountering.

'Iran is already a nuclear power'
The US and Britain are warning Israel not to attack Iran's nuclear facilities... saying new sanctions need time to work. Tehran, currently being visited by UN inspectors, denies accusations it's developing atomic weapons. But Israel -- which also accuses Tehran of attacking its diplomats abroad -- could now be on an unstoppable path to a military strike. There are two reasons why Iranians celebrating even today under the islamic Repression, the last night to wednesday before the 21. of March, the begin of the new year (Nowrooz). The first reason is an Mythical which is written in the "Shahnameh". It is about Siawash, an iranian prince which had to show his innocence by jumping over the fire, when he was sentenced by his father in trial, because of an false accusation from his stepmother. However, Siawash jumped with his horse over the fire and nothing happened to him. This showed his father that he was innocent. The Shahname of Ferdowsi was written, over 300 years after the islamic Invasion in Iran. Most of the Stories and epics which Ferdowsi used, were facts and stories about the real Emperors of Iran and their faith. In real the Zoroastrians, used the 5-6 days at the end of the year to kindle fires at the roof of their houses to show the way for the souls of their deaths back to the great light. This is the second reason why Iranians from Tajikistan to Kurdistan, Afghanistan, Azarbayjan...kindling fires at the last night to wednesday before 21. of March. The role of Fire in the Iranian Faith and Mytology is Important and there different kind of fires in the Zoroastrian faith, not all are Holy fires!

MSM: Iranian Scientist Killed
MSM: Iranian Scientist Killed
Last night, the results of New Hampshire's primary came in and if you flipped between any of the news channels between last night and continuing into this morning, it's pretty much the only thing the mainstream media was talking about. They made one exception by providing perhaps a minute or two of space for big news coming out of Tehran today, another nuclear scientist in Iran who was mysteriously killed. The lack of attention is odd considering that when the IAEA released a report late last year that fit right into the agenda of adding fuel to the fires and making everyone fear Iran, the coverage was wall to wall.

Ex-CIA Officer: Worst-case Iran scenario is WW3!
Washington is fully prepared for an armed conflict with Iran -- says the US defence department. The Pentagon chief Leon Panetta says there's still room for dialogue but sufficient military forces are in the Persian Gulf in case Tehran decides to block a vital oil route there. This comes after Iran said it would close the Strait of Hormuz only if the country's security -- and the security of its nuclear facilities -- is threatened. Tehran is backed by Russia which says military action would bring disastrous results. Iran agreed to resume six-party talks over its atomic programme. But there are fears the country is already under attack, after the latest murder of one of its nuclear scientists, which Tehran blames on Israel. Former CIA officer Philip Giraldi says a military confrontation in the Gulf could lead to a new world war. RT on Twitter twitter.com RT on Facebook www.facebook.com

Tehran Terrorist Attacks-News Analysis-01-11-2012
Another Iranian scientist has been assasinated. That is what we are going to discuss in this edition of Press TV's News Analysis. The latest terror attack bears the hallmark of a 2010 attack that killed Majid Shahriari, a university lecturer, in Tehran. The victim this time was Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, a chemical engineering graduate and a nuclear scientist at Natanz nuclear installation. He was on his way to work early Wednesday morning, January 11, when two men on a motorbike attached a sticky bomb to his car. Ahmadi Roshan was killed immediately.
